Privacy Policy
Mahjong Master Coach is designed to work entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

The short version. We don't collect your personal information. We don't have a server that stores anything about you. Your games, statistics, progress, and settings live on your device. Nothing is transmitted unless you personally tap a button to send it.
Information we collect
None automatically. Mahjong Master Coach does not create an account for you, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not collect, transmit, or store personal information in the ordinary course of use. There is no analytics package, no advertising network, and no third-party software development kit of any kind embedded in the app.
What stays on your device
Everything the app knows about you is stored locally, in the app's own private storage:
- Games you've played, including move-by-move records used for replay
- Your progress: experience points, streaks, Master Score, quiz results, and reading history
- Your settings and preferences
This data is not visible to us and is not sent anywhere. Deleting the app removes it.
Optional iCloud sync
You may optionally turn on iCloud sync for your saved games. If you do, that data is stored in your own private iCloud account under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it and no ability to read it. This feature is off by default.
When the app uses the network
The app functions fully offline. There are exactly four situations in which it makes a network request, and none of them transmit personal information:

| Sending diagnostics or reporting an issue | Only when you tap to send. Before anything is sent, the app shows you exactly what is included. The report contains app and device information, counts, recent in-app events, and optionally the deterministic record of a game so a problem can be reproduced. It never includes your private coaching notes or self-ratings. You may instead choose the email option, which opens your own mail app with the report pre-filled — you decide whether to send it. |
| News and events | The app reads publicly available feeds. This is a read-only request. No information about you is sent. |
| Podcasts | If you use the podcast feature, the app looks up shows in a public podcast directory and streams episode audio from the publisher. Requests go to those third parties, whose own privacy practices apply. The app does not tell them who you are. |
| Subscriptions | Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. |
The app never transmits anything in the background, on launch, or on a schedule.
Children
Mahjong Master Coach is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, because we do not collect it. There are no advertising partners and no data brokers involved in this app.
Your choices
- Turn iCloud sync on or off at any time in Settings.
- Delete your local data by deleting the app.
- Choose whether to send a diagnostic report, and see its contents first.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
